How do you calibrate a pH meter? What is a Buchner funnel? How do you make a basic lab solution or perform a serial dilution? What IS a serial dilution? In order to work effectively in a laboratory, you have to know the equipment and some basic techniques. This class will give a hands-on introduction to lab safety, equipment use, some standard techniques, lab dos and don’ts, and rules for keeping a research notebook. There is no prerequisite for this program.
Note: Parents do not need to attend the lab with their child but do need to remain in the museum.
