Intro to Chemistry (3-Part Series)

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday November 1

2:00 PM  –  4:00 PM

Liquids mysteriously changing colors, weird smells, and explosions (controlled of course), are all part of this exciting three-part series. However, to understand the entertaining aspects of chemistry, students need to learn the basics: atomic structure, ionic and covalent bonds, acids and bases, as well as precise measuring. These are the underpinnings of chemistry. We will ease into these concepts by doing exciting chemical experiments while learning the science behind the fun. We will also begin to examine the periodic table, “meet the mole,” learn scientific measurement, as well as learn about the scientists who helped discover the rules and laws we use today to practice chemistry.

This Program is a 3-part Series:

  • Part 1:  November 1, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Part 2:  November 8, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
  • Part 3:  November 15, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Students must attend all 3 dates.
