Intro to GIS (Geospatial Information Systems)

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday October 17

1:30 PM  –  3:00 PM

Use GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) to predict population distribution of threatened species in North Carolina. GIS refers to computer-based mapping and modeling and is one of science’s most powerful tools used to answer questions and make predictions about important issues. Using freely available data and software, learn how scientists use GIS by solving a real-world problem.

Note: Parents do not need to attend the lab with their child but do need to remain in the Museum.

Children must be 11 years of age or older to register them for this program.
