This class will delve into the mysteries of the brain. Students will dissect a sheep brain and use models to identify the various brain structures as we discuss their functions. They will also investigate the structure, locations and functions of nerves throughout the body. Current research topics will be explored, such as how discoveries in bioelectronics may offer treatments for diseases as different as asthma, arthritis, and even type 2 diabetes.
