Science Detectives: Nature's Design

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday October 19

10:30 AM  –  11:30 AM

During this class we will explore the many strategies that nature uses to build structures; from ridged scallop shells and circular owl eggs to intricate bird nests and air-conditioned termite mounds. We will learn how humans have either copied some of these design secrets or have been inspired to create our own structures like bridges, houses and even outdoor clothing.

Children must be between the ages of 8 and 10 to register them for this program.
