Learning to Love Lichens (and Air Quality!)

Program participants will learn about the importance of air quality and air pollution reduction activities through hands-on learning experiences! In addition to learning about North Carolina’s Air Quality Monitoring system, participants will go on a lichen safari, collect data for participatory science programs, and spend time reflecting in their nature journal!

Meet in the outdoor classroom upon arrival, a short 3–5 minute walk down the gravel road.

Audience: Elementary students(ages 5 -12), limit to 15 students, must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required, and closes 24 hours in advance of the program. PLEASE ONLY REGISTER YOUR CHILD, NOT ADULT CHAPERONES.
