Join us for a slow search for the scaled and slimy critters that live and breed in the wetland pools, the extensive meadows and floodplain forests of Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve in northeast Raleigh. We will methodically search for frogs and turtles as we hike, and use dip nets to find tadpoles and salamander larvae, then peer under covered retreats in hopes of finding snakes and lizards at rest. Ages 10 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a registered adult.
